Hey WG/CS,

We hope everyone had a productive Reading Week and enjoyed our study breaks! With the end of the semester approaching, we just wanted to give a quick recap on all the amazing events we were able to accomplish together! Thank you to all our members for helping to foster a fun, supportive network of women and gender minorities in CS at Yale, and we can’t wait to continue to grow with you!

OFFICIAL 2024-25 KICKOFF!

We started off the semester with a fun introduction and got to know each other better…

SNACK OVERFLOW: Halloween Edition!

…After introducing SNACK OVERFLOW, the club’s first ever weekly study nights, we were able to host a fun Halloween event where members got to paint their own pumpkins and take home beautiful masterpieces (pictured above)…

SPRING ‘25 BLUEBOOKING!

…Members were able to ask and share insightful advice on what CS courses to take next semester (and the future) over free buttery food…

FaculTEA w/ Professor Slade!

…Members got to listen and chat with Professor Slade on AI models in politics while sipping on yummy boba…

STUDY BREAK #1: SELF-CARE NIGHT

…We hosted our first Reading Week study break in the Good Life Center where members got to take home free hand cream, face and eye masks, and hot coco while getting artsy by painting their nails and /or on mini canvases…

STUDY BREAK #2: ESCAPE NEW HAVEN

…Finally, we wrapped up the semester with a win (Only Ws for WG/CS) at Escape New Haven where our members put on their detective hats and were able to beat the clock in record time!

Thank you to all our members who helped make this a successful semester, and we look forward to the next! Good luck on finals and we wish everyone a restful winter break!
